§ 6.2-410. (Effective October 1, 2010) Borrowers not to be required to employparticular professionals.

In the case of loans secured by deeds of trust or mortgages on one- tofour-family dwelling units, the lender may not require the borrower to usethe services of a particular attorney, surveyor, or insurer. The lender shallhave the right to approve any attorney, surveyor, or insurer selected by theborrower, provided such approval is not unreasonably withheld.
