§ 6.2-702. (Effective October 1, 2010) Registration; authority to transactbusiness.

Every person that controls one or more Virginia financial institutions (i)shall register with the Commission in accordance with procedures establishedby the Commission within 180 days after the date the person acquires controlof a Virginia financial institution, unless the Commission allows additionaltime, and (ii) unless such person is a corporation chartered under the lawsof Virginia, shall obtain a certificate of authority to transact business inthe Commonwealth in accordance with § 13.1-757.
