§ 6.2-851. (Effective October 1, 2010) Interstate merger transactions andbranching permitted.

Virginia banks may merge with out-of-state banks under this article, and anout-of-state bank resulting from such an interstate merger transaction maymaintain and operate the branches in the Commonwealth of a merged Virginiabank, provided the requirements of this article are met.
