§ 63.2-1528. Advisory Committee continued as Advisory Board.

The Advisory Committee on Child Abuse and Neglect is continued and shallhereafter be known as the Advisory Board on Child Abuse and Neglect. TheAdvisory Board shall be composed of nine persons appointed by the Governorfor three-year staggered terms, and permanent members including theSuperintendent of Public Instruction, the Commissioner of Health, theCommissioner of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, theCommissioner of Social Services, the Director of the Department of JuvenileJustice, the Director of the Department of Corrections, the Director of theDepartment of Criminal Justice Services, and the Attorney General ofVirginia, or their designees. The Advisory Board shall meet quarterly and, asthe need may arise, advise the Department, Board and Governor on mattersconcerning programs for the prevention and treatment of abused and neglectedchildren and their families and child abuse and neglect issues identified bythe Commissioner of Social Services.
