§ 63.2-325. Appointment of local directors of social services and localemployees.

Subject to the personnel standards and regulations of the Board, the localdirector shall be appointed by the local board, or, where the city charter orstatutes relating to special forms of city or county government designatesome other appointing authority, then by such other appointing authority,from a list of eligibles furnished by the Commissioner. Subject to thepersonnel standards, and regulations of the Board, the local boards or otherappointing authority shall employ, or authorize the local director to employ,such other employees as may be required by the Commissioner to administerthis title in the county or city.
