§ 63.2-506. Public assistance not transferable or subject to execution.

Except as provided in § 63.2-512, no public assistance given under thissubtitle shall be transferable or assignable, at law or in equity, and noneof the money paid or payable as public assistance under this subtitle shallbe subject to execution, levy, attachment, garnishment or other legalprocess, or to the operation of any bankruptcy or insolvency laws.
