§ 65.2-1305. Peer review program.

The Statewide Coordinating Committee shall develop a peer review program forservices rendered by physicians that are paid for in whole or in partpursuant to this title. The peer review program shall provide for peer reviewof services rendered by physicians. Each regional peer review committeeshall have the responsibility for implementing the peer review program in itshealth systems area. Referrals may be made to the regional peer reviewcommittee pursuant to the utilization review program by the Commission, atreating physician or any insurance company providing coverage for the costof any services paid for in whole or in part pursuant to this chapter or anyemployer.
