§ 65.2-526. Payment to junior dependents in good faith.

Payment of death benefits by an employer in good faith to a dependentsubsequent in right to another or other dependents shall protect anddischarge the employer unless and until such dependent or dependents prior inright shall have given him notice of his or their claim. In case the employeris in doubt as to the respective rights of rival claimants, he may apply tothe Commission to decide between them.
