8.01-255 - Time for presenting claim against Commonwealth.

§ 8.01-255. Time for presenting claim against Commonwealth.

Any pecuniary claim authorized to be presented under §§ 2.2-814 and 2.2-815shall be barred unless presented in writing to the comptroller or otherauthorized person no later than five years after the right to such claimshall arise. If such claim be not thus barred, any action thereon against theCommonwealth must be brought no later than three years after disallowance ofsuch claim in whole or in part.
