§ 8.9A-331. Priority of rights of purchasers of instruments, documents, andsecurities under other titles, priority of interests in financial assets andsecurity entitlements under Title 8.8A.

(a) Rights under Titles 8.3A, 8.7, and 8.8A not limited. This title does notlimit the rights of a holder in due course of a negotiable instrument, aholder to which a negotiable document of title has been duly negotiated, or aprotected purchaser of a security. These holders or purchasers take priorityover an earlier security interest, even if perfected, to the extent providedin Titles 8.3A, 8.7, and 8.8A.

(b) Protection under Title 8.8A. This title does not limit the rights of orimpose liability on a person to the extent that the person is protectedagainst the assertion of a claim under Title 8.8A.

(c) Filing not notice. Filing under this title does not constitute notice ofa claim or defense to the holders, or purchasers, or persons described insubsections (a) and (b).
