§ 9.1-1105. Reexamination by independent experts.

Independent experts employed by (i) an attorney of record for a personaccused of violation of any criminal law of the Commonwealth or (ii) theaccused, for the purpose of reexamination of materials previously examined inany laboratory of the Department, shall conduct their analyses orexaminations independently of the facilities, equipment, or supplies of theDepartment.
