Sealing of voting devices — Exceptions.

Except for reopening to make a recanvass, the registering mechanism of each mechanical voting device used in any primary or election shall remain sealed until ten days after the completion of the canvass of that primary or election in that county. Except where provided by a rule adopted under *RCW 29A.04.610, voting devices used in a primary or election shall remain sealed until ten days after the completion of the canvass of that primary or election in that county.
