Action by district to prevent washing away of stream banks — Expenses for appropriation of land.

Whenever any land is appropriated along the bank of any river or watercourse, as provided for in the last preceding section, the expenses of such appropriation, including the costs and damages to be paid therefor -- when such appropriation is taken subsequently to the construction of any system of dikes under the provisions of this act -- shall be added to the annual cost of the maintenance of said system and be paid as such, as provided herein.
