524.1801 - DEFINITIONS. - Iowa Statutes

524.1801 DEFINITIONS. As used in this chapter unless the context otherwise requires: 1. "Bank holding company" means bank holding company as defined in 12 U.S.C. § 1841(a), and also includes a company that would become a bank holding company upon completion of an acquisition. 2. "Company" means company as defined in 12 U.S.C. § 1841(b). 3. "Control" means control as provided in 12 U.S.C. § 1841(a). 4. "Location" means, for purposes of determining where a bank or bank holding company is located, the following: a. A bank is located in the state in which its principal place of business or main office is physically located. b. A bank holding company is located in the state which is its home state as determined under 12 U.S.C. § 1841(o)(4). 5.
