Payment rolls, how prepared--checks and warrants, how issued.

208.160. The department of social services or its divisionsshall prepare separate rolls of persons entitled to benefits orcompensation for:

(1) Supplemental payments;

(2) Aid to dependent children;

(3) Aid or public relief;

(4) Administrative personnel services and expenses;

(5) Any other grant, aid, pension, assistance or welfareservices administered by the department of social services or itsdivisions. From the rolls, the department of social services orits divisions shall prepare warrants in the form required bysection 33.160, RSMo, which shall be certified by thecommissioner of administration to the state treasurer forcertification as required by section 30.180, RSMo. As authorizedby section 30.205, RSMo, or sections 105.273 to 105.278, RSMo,the commissioner or the state treasurer may authorize thedepartment of social services to place their signature on thewarrant to create a negotiable check or draft or may authorizethe electronic transfer of funds in place of a check or draft.
