Inpatient psychiatric hospital services, individuals under agetwenty-one--nursing home service, any age, exception.

208.161. 1. In addition to benefit payments for medicalassistance which may be made on behalf of those eligible needypersons under this chapter, benefit payments may be made forinpatient psychiatric hospital services for individuals under agetwenty-one, as defined in Title XIX of the Federal SocialSecurity Act (42 U.S.C.A. section 1396d) as amended, to theextent and in the manner provided for other types of medicalassistance under this chapter.

2. Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter forbenefit payments for medical assistance which may be made fornursing home services to recipients eighteen years of age orolder, benefit payments for medical assistance may be made fornursing home services for recipients of any age except asotherwise provided in Title XIX of the Federal Social SecurityAct (42 U.S.C.A. section 1396d) as amended.
