§ 14-155. Unauthorized connections with telephone or telegraph.

§14‑155.  Unauthorized connections with telephone or telegraph.

It shall be unlawful for anyperson to tap or make any connection with any wire or apparatus of anytelephone or telegraph company operating in this State, except such connectionas may be authorized by the person or corporation operating such wire orapparatus.  Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a Class 3misdemeanor.  Each day's continuance of such unlawful connection shall be aseparate offense.  No connection approved by the Federal CommunicationsCommission or the North Carolina Utilities Commission shall be a violation ofthis section.
