§ 14-190.14. Displaying material harmful to minors.

§14‑190.14.  Displaying material harmful to minors.

(a)        Offense. – A personcommits the offense of displaying material that is harmful to minors if, havingcustody, control, or supervision of a commercial establishment and knowing thecharacter or content of the material, he displays material that is harmful tominors at that establishment so that it is open to view by minors as part ofthe invited general public.  Material is not considered displayed under thissection if the material is placed behind "blinder racks" that coverthe lower two thirds of the material, is wrapped, is placed behind the counter,or is otherwise covered or located so that the portion that is harmful tominors is not open to the view of minors.

(b)        Punishment. –Violation of this section is a Class 2 misdemeanor.  Each day's violation ofthis section is a separate offense. (1985, c. 703, s. 9; 1993, c.539, s. 125; 1994, Ex. Sess., c. 24, s. 14(c).)
