§ 14-287. Leaving unused well open and exposed.

§ 14‑287.  Leavingunused well open and exposed.

It shall be unlawful for anyperson, firm or corporation, after discontinuing the use of any well, to leavesaid well open and exposed; said well, after the use of same has beendiscontinued, shall be carefully and securely filled:  Provided, that thisshall not apply to wells on farms that are protected by curbing or boardwalls.  Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall beguilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor.
