§ 53.1-100. Oath and bond of superintendent and guards.

Before entering upon the duties of their office, the superintendent andguards shall take and subscribe the oath prescribed by § 49-1. The governingbody of the county or city maintaining a farm may require the superintendentor guards or both to give bond in such penalty and with such security as thegoverning body may prescribe, conditioned upon the faithful discharge of theduties of their offices.
