§ 53.1-133.1. Definition.

As used in this article unless the context requires otherwise or it isotherwise provided, the term "jail industry program" means a programestablished by a sheriff or jail superintendent to provide employment andwage earning opportunities for persons under his custody. The program mayinclude the production of goods and provision of services which will bemarketed outside the facility.
